Eaton Canyon Falls +

This hike is an easy 3.5 to 4 miles round trip to Eaton canyon Falls with an optional side trip on the return up the Mt. Wilson Toll Road to the Walnut Canyon Trail to add a little mileage and some elevation for cardio. We will then come down the Walnut Canyon Trail and return to the nature center.

DIRECTIONS: From the 1-210 Foothill Freeway through Pasadena Eastbound, exit Sierra Madre/Altadena Drive. Turn left (north) at 1st light, Altadena Dr. From I-210 westbound exit San Gabriel Blvd./San Marino. Turn right (north) at 2nd light, Altadena Dr. Follow Altadena Dr. about 1.5 miles north to New York Dr. (Arco Station on Left). Continue up a half block and turn right into entrance of Eaton Canyon Nature Area Park. You do not need an adventure pass to park here. We will meet in front of the Nature Center.

ALTERNATE DIRECTIONS: Westbound 210 Freeway - exit Madre St. (Sierra Madre Villa Ave.), turn right and head north. As you cross Sierra Madre Blvd. bear left following the main road which becomes New York Drive. Go past Eaton Canyon Drive, across the wash to Altadena Drive and turn right - the entrance to Eaton Canyon Nature Center will be about 50 feet up the road on your right.

Out of consideration for your fellow hikers, please arrive prior to 9:00AM.

WHAT TO BRING: Comfortable hiking shoes, sun screen (?), ample water and a snack or sandwich for a short break at the falls
