Dear Officer Assistance Fund Volunteers,

(If you are receiving this email, you have either offered to volunteer on August 24th or have volunteered for the Officer Assistance Fund golf tournament in the past.)

Thank you so much for your support in the Officer Assistance Fund (). Our golf tournament this Friday (August 24th) at Superstition Springs Golf Course you’re your presence is a great addition! This tournament is fun because of our volunteers. YOU truly help create an experience for golfers! Here are some details for the fundraiser:

Superstition Springs Golf Course in Mesa

6542 East Baseline Road Mesa, AZ 85206
(480) 830-8198

August 24th

6am – 1pm

We ask all volunteers to arrive at 6am and we should wrap-up about 12:30pm. Your volunteer coordinator is Jonathan Klingler, who will direct you to where you are to go. If you have to come late or leave early, just let us know and we can accommodate.

About the OAF:

501 (c)3 that provides immediate financial assistance to police officers (and their families) that have been injured or killed in the line of duty. There are no administrative costs and 100% of the contributions go directly to those officers in need.

What to wear:

Stay cool! We have Jonathan that will bring water to all the volunteers. However, please bring anything else you need to stay cool. We have had volunteers bring tents, battery operated fans, etc.

We provide a volunteer t-shirt if you would like to wear it. We recommend khakis shorts and tennis shoes. Golf etiquette does not encourage jeans.

feel free to dress up! Do you have wacky golf gear? Have a law enforcement related costume? Want to be a flight attendant for the airline ticket hole in one prize? We welcome some creative ideas – email or call me so that we can get you assigned to a fun activity.

Bring a camera – you are sure to make some memories and make new friends!

What to expect/typical jobs:

Expect to interact with the golfers. They are there to have a good time and your presence makes it that much more fun! Joke, laugh, and have a good time!

Hole-in-one prizes are air tickets, a car, golf clubs and other random items. Each of those holes have to have two people watch for the hole in one.

Selling mulligans (i.e. free swings for those that want do-overs J ) and raffle tickets

Some holes have gimmicks & will need volunteers to execute: Best Mug Shot (taking photos of golfers); Crime Scene Hole; Fastest Draw; etc… If you have a preference, be sure to arrive early and let Jonathan know.

If you have a camera and would like to share your photos, we encourage you to bring it! If you have a phone with a camera/video, feel free
