HBase Meetup @ Sift Science

The great folks at Sift Science are hosting our next meetup on 8/28 (a Thursday), starting at 6:30pm, at 123 Mission Street Suite 1500. Sift Science uses online large-scale machine learning to detect fraud for hundreds of web sites in realtime. Come hear how Sift Science leverages HBase to power their learning infrastructure: for training and building models, for storing and updating model parameters, and for providing real-time predictions that update online. Michael Stack from Cloudera will also present on recent work in the HBase Block Cache. Misty Stanley-Jones will talk about "Documentation and Apache HBase".
