Welcome to the Hiking Meetup group for Bend, Redmond and Central Oregon. We meet twice a month - usually on Saturdays for hikes in the Central Oregon area. On these pages you will find a mixture of hikes that are mainly in the intermediate to advanced category. Most of our hikes cover distances of around 10 miles with the occasional big trip of up to 15 miles. We also run a number of overnight backpacking hikes for very experienced people. Please read the description carefully before signing up for a hike so you are sure it is not beyond your capability. Please read the "About us" section of this website, including the "Waiver of Liability", before participating in any activities with the group.

“I am a 30+yr runner, a Memphis native in dire need of a trip out west (it's been too long). My goal: spring or summer 2010 trip to Bend area (hiking a must) & Eugene (Pre's Trail a must). I will watch for 2010 hike schedule to post.”

“Originally from Philadelphia. I would love to find others who REALLY DO hike and snowshoe A LOT. I average 12 - 15 miles a week trail walking or hiking (in decent weather) plus a weekly hike up Tumalo Mtn. Love views, nature and peace and quiet.”
