People ask me all the time, what I wear and what I recommend. Those two should be the same. I should only recommend WHAT I wear.

However, as most everyone who lives in Colorado, I have multiple sports and hobbies and buying for every sport can get expensive.

I have been following this site for awhile to see if they really do have deals. They do. Check out The Clymb.

It's daily deals on different brands for different sports.

I also use www.backcountry.com and www.moosejaw.com They have lots of specials!!

I have recently been trying out some "new to me" brands and really love the performance.

Vasque-the new Scree mid shoe IS ACTUALLY WATERPROOF. I was very skpetical and I have been converted to a believer!!!

Headsweats-The snowflake performance beenie rocks. It has a hole for my ponytail and is super thin. But is actually warm. If any complaint, it's too warm. But I am hot headed, I mean blooded. devilish

Overland-The shasta is a great bag. It's over the should design is perfect for a day hike or up the mountain race. I used it in Summit For Life and loved it. It holds a bunch of stuff in the 3 pockets.

Just a few quick notes about some gear I have recently fallen in love with. And you know I am a tough sell.

As we enter the official winter months, get the right gear for you, layer it and stay warm. Warm is fun!
