Announcing a new Meetup for Seattle Hiking and Photography!

What: Little Si night hike

When: June 24,[masked]:30 PM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

This will be one of those rare hikes without the 12 person group size limit. If you've been stuck on waiting lists, now's your chance to meet fellow group members and get out on a hike with us!

Little Si is my favorite easy hike along the 90 corridor. It's a short hike with a small elevation gain that we can easily do after work on these long summer days, and though this hike will not have grand photographic vistas, it does offer a beautiful forested area as the trail passes through the canyon between Little and Big Si and a view across the valley towards Rattlesnake Ledge.

I'm being optimistic that I can swim through traffic and make the trail head at this time after work, so if I fail to reach the trailhead by the standard 15 minute wait-time, feel free to head up the trail without me. I'll see you at the top!

Round trip: 5 miles
Elevation gain: 1200 feet

Since this hike is fairly close to the Seattle metro area, let's meet at the trailhead parking lot. If the main lot is full, a new overflow lot is just down the road towards the river/bridge.

More info and directions:

~I believe a NW Forest Pass is required for all vehicles, but check with a ranger to confirm.
~As usual with this group's dayhikes we may be walking back to the trail head after dark, so bring a flashlight or headlamp.
~There will be a 15 minute courtesy wait at the trail head in case of traffic.
~Please check the weather and bring appropriate clothing for expected area temps.
~Daytrip version of 10 essentials required
~Fido is welcome on this hike. I will be bringing Clover.
