Bandera Mountain

In town for Labor Day and want to get out for some exercise and views? Bandera Mountain is a 5,200 ft summit on the edge of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. This is a great hike that is less than an hour from Seattle. The route follows the well maintained, and very popular, Mason Lake Trail for the first 2.5 miles. The last mile, the trail climbs up a steep open meadow. At the top you will find breathtaking panoramic views.
Distance: 7 miles rt.
Elevation gain: 3,000ft.
Rating: strenuous.
Pace: moderate.

Directions. Meet at 8:00AM on the ground floor of the new Issaquah Transit Center to car pool to the trail head.
Note: A Northwest Forest Pass is required to park at the trail head.
