"Third Annual Hike to the Springs", Saturday, June 12

We decided to change our June monthly outing to one more suitable for the warm weather - a short walk to several beautiful, clear springs in the Econfina Creek area. We'll meet at the Winn Dixie parking lot in Lynn Haven at 8 am, Saturday, 12 June. We'll carpool up Hwy 77, then east on Hwy 20, and north on Strickland Rd to our first stop - Williford Spring. Then we'll drive further up Strickland Rd to Walsingham Bridge, and hike a mile or so to Devil's Hole spring. Along the way, we'll visit a small spring in Econfina Creek. We'll walk a total of about 2.5 miles for this trip, mostly in the shade. Bring bug repellent, snacks, water, and sunscreen. We suggest you wear a bathing suit under your clothes, and perhaps bring a pair of water shoes. This will be a great trip for the kids, but note that Devil's Hole spring is deep water.
