Feeling that urge to get out and do something physical in the great outdoors that we are so fortunate to have on our doorstep? Do you love hiking, scrambling, trail running and snowshoeing? Do you prefer smaller groups? Then this group is for you! Our focus is on hiking and trail running, but anything physical and outdoorsy is good! Don't confuse us with other Meetup groups that organize hikes with 20 or 30 or 40 participants. We respect nature and other hikers, and that means our groups will always be small.
We have done some amazing in this group, like Cloudburst Mountain, Tricouni Peak, Tomyhoi Peak in Washington State, Black Tusk, Needle Peak, Frosty Mountain, Mt St Helen's, Wedgemount Lake, Mount Cook, Williams Ridge, Mount Cheam, Coliseum, Panorama Ridge, Metal Dome, Mount Windsor, Seagram Ridge, Mount Harvey, Mount Brunswick, the Lions, Burke Ridge, and many, many more! We also do tons of backcountry snowshoeing in the winter. Check out our photo albums!
Most of our trail runs are on the North Shore, but we also sometimes get to Burnaby Mountain, Stanley Park, Pacific Spirit, Elfin Lakes, Garibaldi, Buntzen Lake, Whistler, etc. Runs range from one hour to five hours, and we run rain or shine.
Please note that this group is for ACTIVE participants. If you don't attend any of our events over a 12-month period, you will be removed from the group. What's the point in staying? You are, of course, welcome to return once you are able to participate again. You should also have at least a moderate level of fitness. We never post hikes for slow hikers.
Please ensure you have a clear photo of yourself added to your profile. No photo means you can't join the group. It's for safety reasons.
If you are interested in becoming an organizer, make sure you have first attended some of our events, and then contact us.
Happy hiking and trail running!
