This group is not only dedicated to hiking, but all kinds of outdoor sports/activities as well as meeting other local adventure enthusiasts.

Most hikes will be day trips on local trails in VT with occasional treks to the Adirondacks.  Leashed and well behaved dogs are welcome at the discretion of the hiking or event organizer(s).

All are welcome to post photos of outings. Happy Trails!!

This is an outdoor sports meetup group.  When you voluntarily participate in outdoor sports, there are certain risks associated with it.  So please read the below information carefully.  If you agree with it, you can join our group activities. A similar disclaimer is listed at

As a condition of your voluntary participation in this activity you acknowledge and agree to the following: this activity involves inherent risks that can cause property damage, injury, illness, disability, and/or death to participants and/or others; you assume all risk associated with this activity; you are responsible for having the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities, clothing, and equipment to safely participate in this activity; you know and will follow the Hiker Responsibility Code described at; the leader(s) of this activity are volunteers; and you release, hold harmless, and indemnify the leader(s) and all members of this group from any and all claims for property damage, injury, illness, disability, and/or death - including those caused by negligence and/or other reasons.

NO-SHOW policy We have had a number of late cancellations or no-shows for hikes- we often wait for hikers that have rsvp'd yes, and it is frustrating when they are a no- show. Because of this, if a member does not update their rsvp prior to a hike, they will be marked as a No-Show. If that member has three No-Shows in 6 months they will be banned from club activities for three months. We understand that there could be a valid reason for a no-show, but not for three. So please, if you are on the Yes list of an event and can't go, remove yourself as soon as possible to avoid this.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
