Using R and Hadoop for Advanced Analytics at Scale

Details
R is the most widely used analytics software. Hadoop is the default modern data architecture for handling the complexities of modern data. Using R with Hadoop enables organizations to take advantage of the scale-out storage and processing capabilities of Hadoop along with the powerful analytic capabilities of R. In this meet-up we will learn how to combine these two powerful technologies, in the modern data architecture to make seemingly impossible problems possible and create value on an unprecedented scale.
Don Hilborn from Hortonworks will be giving a presentation of case studies, along with a demo, of using Hadoop with R to analyze big data problems. The talk is being put on in collaboration with Hortonworks and Datameer.
NOTE TO ALL: The Hadoop meetup session is also being held tonight @ the Microsoft offices! Please make sure you look for the R Meetup! Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight.
We are in the APOLLO room on the third floor.
