LEGO Harry Potter Invitation

From: KateKintail

You all might remember that last year for the east coast LEGO
festival, I made a few Harry Potter displays. Well, this year I made
one for every book and a couple others for good measure, including a
Wizard Rock MOC for the Music category that was approved by The Remus
Lupins (even if Alex joked and said I made him look like a train
robber, he also said it was great). Those of you who have been to a
Wizard Rock concert at Patrick Henry Library will recognize the
setting for that MOC.

Anyway, the LEGO Festival is called BrickFair and the MOCs people
build are open to the public for viewing on Saturday and Sunday August
7-8, 2010. It's being held at the Dulles Expo Center this year. You
can find out more info here: http://www.brickf... Tickets are $10
for adults, $7 for children 4-10 years of age, $0 for children 3 &
under, and $30 for a family of 4 people. You can buy tickets online or
at the door (though there might be a line). I'm not sure how much but
a portion of the admission ticket goes to charity, the SladeChild

If you're planning to attend, let me know when so I can be sure to be
with my MOCs then and show you all the little hidden rooms and lights
and things I put into some of them (and so I can say hello to you)!

Harry Potter MOCs I built this year:
Book 1- Cupboard Under the Stairs-Harry goes to get the mail, which
contains a special letter to him
Book 2- The Rogue Bludger- moments after catching the snitch, Lockhart
shows up to help Harry
Book 3- Full Moon- Sirius holds a transforming Remus off and Wormtail
makes his escape
Book 4- Take a Bath- Myrtle helps Harry figure out his Tri-Wizard
Champion egg riddle
Book 5- Christmas at Grimmauld Place- complete with a magical tree and
Sirius putting Santa hats on house elves
Book 6- The Room of Requirement- Harry tries to find a place to hide
his potions book
Book 7- The Seven Potters- After taking their polyjuice potion, there
are suddenly 7 Harrys in the kitchen of No. 4

The other east coast Harry Potter LEGO artist hasn't registered
anything on the website yet; last I heard, she was coming, but I don't
know for sure. There WILL be a lot of other awesome creations
including city, train, castle, mosaics, historical, apocalego, and
even a bunch of other fandom things. I know for sure there were will
be multiple TARDISes (TARDI?), Firefly, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back
to the Future, Toy Story, Ghost Busters, comics, LOST, and more.

Hope to see you there!
