Sign up for the 5K wave that starts at 3 pm - that's the one HROA members are running. SHARE YOUR CONTACT INFO VIA E-MAIL SO YOU CAN FIND EACH OTHER IF YOU WANT TO START TOGETHER. "THERE'S SAFETY IN NUMBERS!"

There are 12 obstacles and an unknown number of fast and/or slow Zombies. Participants who cannot or choose not to finish an obstacle will be able to finish the race, but his/her time will be posted as “Zombie.”

Price:

Saturday (and Sunday) Runners:
$77 from February 13 until September 12, 2012 at 11:59 PM EST
$82 from September 13, 2012 until October 8, 2012 at 11:59 PM EST
$87 from October 9, 2012 until October 23, 2012 at 11:59 PM EST

Transfers between Saturday and Sunday will not be permitted.

PRICE INCLUDES: A Warwear performance shirt, one free beer, a race medal, access to the “Safe Zone,” and 12+ live bands at the Apocalypse Party.

Saturday Spectators:
$32 from January 18, 2012 until October 26, 2012 at 11:59 PM EST
$40 at the entrance on race day

For those wishing to carpool, recommend leaving from the Newport News Carpool Location (Village Square at Kiln Creek) at a time to be determined either Friday night but NLT 8 am Saturday morning. Google maps says it's a 4 hr 45 minute trip, but that doesn't account for traffic snarls, and additionally, Runforyourlives website recommends showing up at least 2 hrs early (for packet pickup and other pre-race processing). We can adjust carpool departure time(s) from Newport News based on group feedback to support a 3 pm wave Saturday race start time. (Recommend traveling up Fri night, but realize this may not be preferred by everyone ... we can always travel up in two waves and work out carpools based on preferences.)

Participants must bring an official form of ID

Change of clothes and towel are highly recommended

$10 parking fee

Can work camping and/or hotel accommodations as we go. Will look into options for those who want to travel up Friday night. Camping is only available onsite Saturday night...NOT Friday night. The camping package is an additional $20 per person. This package gives each camper access to set up camp in the designated camping area within the Run For Your Lives’ race property. Tents only, no RVs. Campers will be able to set up their tent in the sectioned-off, designated camping area at any time throughout the day. The camping area will expand after the racing portion of the event concludes.

There will be a number of community campfires for everyone to enjoy. If you would like to enjoy your own campfire, please bring a small grill or an above-ground fire pit. Ground fires will not be permitted.
