Hosted by the Arizona State Director for The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), this Meetup group keeps local supporters informed about current issues affecting animals.
In addition to the online resources and communication, in-person meetings are scheduled for special events and to provide attendees with legislative updates, news on current events, and ways to take action for the animals. These meetings are generally held once a month in different locations around the Phoenix area. You do not have to attend the in-person meetings to be a part of this group!
The Humane Society of the United States is the nation's largest animal protection organization - backed by over 11 million Americans, or one of every 28. Although not affiliated with any local humane societies, we do work with them on a regular basis.
For more than a half-century, The HSUS has been fighting for the protection of all animals through advocacy, education, and hands-on programs. Our mission statement says it all: Celebrating animals, confronting cruelty.
