Community of Mindfulness Meditation Group
Second and fourth Thursday of each month except November and December 2009 due to the holidays. The group will meet once in December -- Thursday, December 10, 2009.

Facilitated practice of Mindful Meditation for is for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. Each session includes sitting and walking meditation; breathe awareness, dharma discussion and being joyful together. Chairs and some cushions will be available. If you have a sitting cushion, please bring it. Wear comfortable clothing and please do not wear fragrances.
If you plan to come regularly, please become a Wainwright House Friend. Wainwright Friends are asked to donate $5 for each meditation session. If not, we ask for a $10 donation for each meditation session as you are able. Please try the group once before you contribute.
The practice of mindfulness is inspired by the teachings and practice of Vietnamese Zen Buddhist Teacher Thich Nhat Hanh. The Community of Mindfulness New York is part of a network of national and international sanghas [communities]: a "fourfold community" of laywomen and laymen, nuns and monks.
