To celebrate Pi Day 2016, we'll be hosting a a lab for folks interested in using the gpiozero Python library with the Raspberry Pi!

The general purpose input and output (GPIO) capabilities provided by the Raspberry Pi can be used to do all sorts of things in the world of physical computing. We'll help you get familiar with a Python library called gpiozero that'll make it simple to work with devices in the physical world.

If you've never used the Python programming language before, you might check out http://learnpythonthehardway.org/book/ before the lab. We'll also provide folks with a quick intro at the beginning of the lab to jump start the GPIO exercises.

If you already have a Raspberry Pi, bring it. We'll help you use it with gpiozero.
If you don't have a Raspberry Pi, don't worry! We'll have some set up for folks to use during the lab.

We'll be in a room with monitors and keyboards. If you bring your own Raspberry Pi, we'll do our best to get you plugged in to an existing monitor and keyboard so you don't have to tote all of that around!

Please consider being a "Pi Day Supporter" by donating to hub-ology. We'd love to give more rural folks a Raspberry Pi of their own!
