Hi;

Hope I can GET there .... my car was seriously damaged by Hurricane Isaac and still waiting for FEMA to get off their hands and get something to me to repair it. I applied two months ago. I'm sure the hurricane mess in New York, etc. is part of the problem. It's a maybe on tomorrow night. Had to miss one of my film maker meetups because of the election and no car ... didn't want to miss out on voting because I was elsewhere!

Thank you to you all who have RSVPd for the Yappy Hour tomorrow. I have been busy lately with trying to help the carjacking victim, Meg Hall, recover her beloved dog Skeeter and I haven't been sending out reminder emails. Also, thank you to those of you who also reached out to help find Skeeter as well. Here's a brief update so far about Skeeter:

I went out this morning with a lieutenant from NOPD this morning to follow up on a very solid lead. Skeeter has been seen alive and surprisingly well(from what witnesses have told me) but unfortunately we did not recover Skeeter. This is very frustrating but we are still trying. Meg Hall reached out to the Humane Society and that just goes to show how important and valued we are in the community. From this very example we see how our volunteers(YOU) are needed. Without you all we would fail to exist. With that said, Jeff and I would very much like to organize a search group within the next few days with tshirts and flyers. I will send out another email with more details later, but I am thinking that this Saturday would be good so please check your calenders to see if you would be free.

Thank you all so much and I will see you all tomorrow!
