Dear Friends,

The Krewe of Barkus runs next Sunday, January 27, and each year volunteers from different humane societies and rescue groups help put on the event by setting up, acting as crowd monitors (marshals) and breaking down.  For each volunteer that registers under our name, our group gets a donation!! So, please register, help us raise funds and be apart of the fun!  Please pre-register by emailing your desired shift (morning/noon/afternoon) to [address removed].  The parade rolls in the Quarter and begins at Armstrong Park.  There will be a large volunteer registration table set up in the park.  Volunteers must sign-in and will be given their assignments.  If you do volunteer, please make sure that you mention you are with the Humane Society of Louisiana, so we get "credit" for your volunteer hours.  Here is additional information:

Barkus will celebrate on Sunday, January 27.  Parade rolls at 2pm, Volunteer shifts are 8-10 am setup, 10- 1 booth/other duty, 1-4 booth duty, 1-5 Krewe Marshall and cleanup,  4-6 Breakdown.  To pre-register, please send an email to [address removed].    Final volunteer list will be sent out on Saturday, January 26 but we need your name, shift and group affiliation SOON. And please let me know if you can volunteer so we know how many to expect! Sincerely, Jeff
