I talked to Lucy and will be picking the bird up in an hour.
I would appreciate it very much if bird issues were referred to me as I have experience with catching, feeding, treating injuries and providing a safe environment for anything that has feathers. Suggesting that a bird be caught an held till Monday by someone who isn't familiar with birds, not familiar with the law if it's a protected species, the species or basic bird care, IS putting the bird in more danger than it is out there fending for
itself. Most people aren't familiar with the physiology of birds and their very specific dietary requirements. I run a bird rescue and have had years of training and a vet on call at all times.

Can anyone respond to this S.O.S. call today? If so, kindly let me know if you can pick up and house the bird until Monday. After that, we can take it!
Lucy Neill has an unusual large bird in her yard that can't fly - not a chicken. Would like someone to rescue it before a cat gets it. (504)[masked]
