Subject: Celebrate National Day of Reason with screening of "My Week in Atheism" and Potluck Dinner
For the first time, the Baltimore CoR is holding an event to mark the National Day of Reason. As in previous years, this year’s National Day of Reason coincided with the Congressionally-mandated and federally-supported National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 1, 2014. We thank all who value the separation of religion and government & join us in commemorating this year’s Day of Reason, and in building awareness for this important cause.
For this event, we will hold a potluck dinner and screen the
documentary "My Week in Atheism". Watch the trailer at
David Smalley, host of the Dogma Debate podcast, is an outspoken secular activist out of Texas who recently teamed up with Christian filmmaker, John Christy, to create this film about a devout Christian and an atheist activist who travel together to secular conventions, university campuses, and a live talk show. They struggle to maintain a close friendship while protecting their beliefs.
