Hey everyone, a quick heads up
Since I have stayed an extra year to double major at UCI in religious studies I have had to take on a massive load of lower division humanities courses that have kept me far busier than I anticipated (class 5 days a week and more busy work than I know what to do with.)
Debbie Skomer is doing a great thing tomorrow and you should join her up at Mt Soledad in counter protest with the Xtian-cultists. [masked], get up there early to get a parking space and support SDCOR.
Secondly, I will be back for C&C on Sat the 18th and then the third Sunday Sunday the 19th.
The Darwin event didn't come together that well-but since my Freethought and Humanist history lecture went really well, I will be giving a talk on another pivotal freethinker who had another recent birthday: Humanism 101: Humanism and Civil Rights- Thomas Paine's Freethought Legacy
Sunday feb 19th to commemorate both Black History (Feb) and Women's History (March) Months, I will be giving a lecture at Joyce Beers at 6:30 on the role of Freethought in the civil rights movements of abolition and women's suffrage.
($5 suggested donation and pot luck as always).
The podcast was delayed from Jan because my cohost had an unexpected trip out east, but we should be recording the weekend of the 18th and 19th for sure.
And the Freethought history sessions will unfortunately be postponed until my schedule clears up a bit (April).
So join up with Debbie and SDCOR tomorrow 11 am at mt soledad
And join us in two weeks at Bamboo and Joyce Beers.
