Hello Everyone,

We have some awesome upcoming things that you will love and some other great things coming up.

First, most of those on our general contact list are also part of our group. We have been doing pretty much everything through Meetup lately. If you have not already joined, I highly recommend it. Meetup is free to join and you can find all sorts of interesting groups that are right up your alley. Please check out our Meetup group at

Secondly, we have started a podcast. The San Diego Seculars is our weekly recap of coffee & conversation. Each week at C&C we come up with some really great stuff, so now we are sharing it with the world via podcast. These are free to listen to and download. Check out our podcast at:

Coffee & Conversation has been going great. We have been getting a larger audience again since we have returned to weekly. C&C is a weekly current events discussion group full of good info, irreverent humor, and interactive discussion. (6 pm Saturdays at the Bamboo Lounge & T-Deli 1469 University suggested donation $5).

Also, tonight (and every First and Third Tuesday) we have our Freethought Philosophy Book Club. Tonight is Charles Bradlaugh's The Freethinker's Textbook vol. 1. For November we have Leviathan and On the Social Contract, as next month in the election, let's look at social contract theory. For December we are closing the year examining why people aren't of particular religions (Bertrand Russell's Why I am not a Christian, and Ibn Warraq's Why I am not a Muslim). This occurs seven pm at the Bamboo Lounge & T-Deli (1469 University).

This Sunday we have our annual Logical Fallacy Clinic. We are going to go over the structure of logic, methods of persuasion, and common logical fallacies (45 min). Following that, we will watch several clips from Fox News of O'Reilly and Dawkins to apply what we have learned to practice them. We open the doors at 6 for a half hour of social time, followed by our main program at 6:30 (Sunday 6:00pm, Joyce Beers Uptown Community Center, 3900 Vermont St, suggested donation $5).

And coming up in the near future, we are marching with SDCOR in the Light the Night Walk (11/2), hosting Secular Coalition for America Executive Director Edwina Rogers (11/11), have Sam Singleton Atheist Evangelist (12/23), and hosting Atheist Experience Host Matt Dillahunty (1/12/13). Check out our meetup group for more details.

See you soon, join our meetup, and in a month I am gonna be sending out a letter to you guys about our plans for next year.
