New Meetup: Effective Communication & Critical Thinking Series: Starting with NVC

Announcing a new Meetup for Humanism San Diego: Humanist Association of San Diego Meetup!

What: Effective Communication & Critical Thinking Series: Starting with NVC

When: Thursday, January 27, 2011 7:00 PM

Where: Cafe Libertalia
3834 5th Ave
San Diego, CA 92103

I'm planning on picking up with the next episodes in the workshop series with Marshall Rosenberg on Youtube. I'd also like to talk about other methods that we might like to explore and the general direction that we'd all like to take with the group.

Amelia Roache, who visited with us last week, is also considering holding some NVC practice sessions at Cafe Libertalia, so I should be able to let you know more about that on Thursday too.

If you missed the first session, come along anyway. And if you want to catch up, here are links for the clips from last session:

FYI, following is the original description of the overall series...

...we're hosting an ongoing series covering the areas of effective communication and critical thinking. We'll be exploring various approaches and techniques in these areas with each session including either a video, speaker or book study, along with group discussion. I'll be "facilitating" the sessions, meaning that I'll be primarily responsible for providing material and guiding the discussion, but would welcome assistance and suggestions from others relating to content.
