Humanist Association of San Diego's Meetup Group Message Board › BACK IN BUSINESS AND AIN'T it GRAND!
San Diego, CA
EVERYONE... please please please forgive us for all of the negativity that evaporated as quickly as it was generated. Everything is back to normal, everything is back on.
the email address for the Humanist Association is, and always was firstname.lastname@example.org. We had some issues that arose during the first week after the member meeting but they have been resolved. Horrible allegations were made, they were untrue.
1. Jason is not mentally ill or on crystal meth.
2. There was no theft from the treasury- bank record oversight will be provided upon request.
Coffee and Conversation is back to normal, Saturday nights at Libertalia! One person said that after the 28th, she wasn't going to return, but was glad that she did. And we are glad that she did. From one night that was called a "High School Bitch-Fest" is now back to the raucous round table that we all know and love.
Ok, onward and upward- January we are doing Coffee and Conversation, and now meeting at 6 pm on the 3rd Sunday at Joyce Beers as opposed to 1 pm.
this month's topic: WHAT IS HUMANISM?
Jan 21 we will be whale watching
In February come for the trial of the century!
Herbie and the gang are putting together an original piece based upon the scopes monkey Trial, come and celebrate Darwin's 200th with us as we present the arguments from Darrow and Bryant.
March we are presenting a birthday party for Benito Juarez
April is Earth Day
and of course every Saturday at 7- coffee and conversation: please submit possible articles, poems, topics for discussion, and overall bru-haha, and we will have one hell of a good time, followed by dinner at Hong Kong!

Yes, it is grand!
Now that it's behind us, leave it there!
I for one was ready to move on while it was happening.
I have heard of a request for participation in Earth Day.
When are we doing the Harris Fire Cleanup?
Can we do a hike soon?
There is a regularly scheduled group that walks the S.D. River.
Lots of ideas, so little time.
