Sat WashCo Walk: This Week, Terpenning Rec Complex -- Coffee 2! Help Pick a Park

RSVPs required or meetup may be cancelled. Please change your RSVP if you can't attend. This walk is easily accessible by train, then bus.

Take a walk in the park while wearing your T-shirt supporting science and reason! We walk (aerobically) with like-minded friends for ~50 minutes, then finish with coffee at a nearby cafe.

What neighborhood do you live in? Host your own walk in Washington County! Pick a park and reserve your date by using the "Suggest a Meetup" feature (don't forget to suggest a nearby coffee shop.) All parks should have an even walking surface and nearby parking and restrooms.

We will start our walk today from the parking lot above the northernmost baseball fields (from NW 158th Ave turn east on NW Blueridge Dr -- look for Papa's Pizza on the corner -- then at the first right turn onto NW Schlottman Pl.) We'll explore the all the sidewalk paths, winding around the park and returning to the parking lot.

Then we'll choose a nearby vendor and carpool over for coffee/brunch.

Members who can't come for the walk are invited to join us for caffeinated conversation at 10:15 AM.

We won't be at the mall this week -- instead, the arrival of warm weather inspires us to (finally) take it outdoors. Arrive a few minutes early so we can make introductions, then start together shortly after 9:15 at our warm-up pace when we can pair up according to our walking rates. Don't forget water and a sunhat.

All ages and abilities are welcome, as are little ones in strollers. Contact the host for a cell number in case you can't find us.
