two Asian market tours, San Jose

We'll have a tour of TWO Asian markets in San Jose:

1. Dai Thanh Market

420 S. 2nd Street, San Jose, CA. 95113

2. Thien Thanh Supermarket

455 Keyes Street, San Jose, CA. 95122

Ron Kline, one of our long-time members, will show us around, will point out, and talk about, the hard-to-find RAW Asian products. We'll start at one market, spend an hour or so there, and then drive to another market, not too far away. Ron will show us around that market, too.

Ron will also bring ingredient lists to talk about what is used in Thai Cooking. He will also try to bring some raw Asian inspired recipes for people who want ideas of what to make.

Please bring $ and shopping bags.

THE NEXT DAY -- Sunday, Feb 19th, is our standing monthly RAW POTLUCK:

Being that we will be shopping at two Asian markets --the day before-- we'll have an Asian theme for our monthly RAW POTLUCK. Bring a dish from the East: Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Korean, Singapore, etc.
