Hypertable is an open source project based on published best practices and our own experience in solving large-scale data-intensive tasks.

Our goal is to bring the benefits of new levels of both performance and scale to many data-driven businesses who are currently limited by previous-generation platforms.

Modeled after Google's well known Bigtable project, Hypertable is designed to manage the storage and processing of information on a large cluster of commodity servers, providing resilience to machine and component failures.

This group is for current Hypertable users, future users, those interested in open source and large data issues and storage.
