Our June midwinter meeting is an ideal time to explore something different. In tonight's session, Peter Stagg who is well known to iMugers from his time at Monash University and then the Bureau of Meteorology has a number of favourite open source free apps which he is going to share. Then after the break, the session is opened for members to showcase their own favourite apps and share ideas.

We all like free apps, who doesn't? But they are even better when they perform great tasks. Peter really enjoys his open source apps, not only because they're free, but because they really work! Peter will take us through a number of his favourite apps, how he uses them, and present some new ideas as well. Peter is knowledgeable, engaging and will certainly use these apps in ways that will really amaze you!
Peter is a web developer with nearly 20 years experience. Currently he works at the Australian Bureau of Meteorology for Radar Services. His diversions include a broad range of tech, photography, collecting classic analog cameras, and travel. An oft neglected but interesting blog of his can be found at www.peterstagg.com.

Our members have a wealth of knowledgeable on many topics, but we rarely have an opportunity to share with fellow iMuggers.The second half of our June metting will be an informal session where you, our members, are invited to share your favourite apps, software, social networks, websites or indeed any other topic which holds your special interest.
Bring your laptop, iPad or memory stick and share your discoveries with others. We will provide the projector and speakers if required. Who knows where the evening will lead, and what items will be explored? Please join in to make this an informative and enjoyable evening.
