We have teamed up with UX Corner and Startups United to hold a UX for Apps Unconference at 6, Mitre Passage (http://www.6mitrepassage.co.uk/) on Thursday October 11th in North Greenwich.
This special free event is sponsored by Cisco and will be our first ever meetup as a group.
We already have about 120 people signed up in two other groups and it brings together User Experience professionals and SME’s to share, learn, support and network in an informal and relaxed environment.
We have a fantastic selection of user experience professionals joining us on the night. Guests include Kathryn Leach (Senior User Experience Designer, BBC) Harry Brignull (Senior User Experience Designer, Clearleft) and Jane Austin (Digital Director, IG Group).
Harry Brignull will also be giving a talk about the UX process behind the development of The Week magazine's iPad app, nominated for several awards in the annual AOP awards.
The format is informal, but informative, including UX pitches, feedback and Q&A. Join us for Free pizza and beer, and networking with other professionals.
If anybody has a user experience challenge they’d like to share please get in touch for a slot.
The event is kindly sponsored by Cisco’s Raptor Small Grants Programme, created to help start-ups and SMEs develop innovative location-based retail and transport applications. The RAPTOR SME Small Grants Programme will provide start-ups with prize packages made up of cash, mentoring from RAPTOR partners and stakeholders, access to the RAPTOR test and development space, state of the art collaboration technology and marketing opportunities. Three groups of five prizes will be rewarded over the space of 12 months. For more information on the grants programme, visit www.raptorsme.com.
