+ There's a range of options out there, from building your UI entirely on the client side and using a RESTful API for the data model, to building a dumb client powered mostly from the server.

+ Pros and cons of each of these broad approaches.

+ We found our sweet spot in the middle, where most of our UI is powered from the server side, with embedded data models where necessary.
