Show Your Work: UX Portfolio Workshop

This workshop is a ticketed event and requires pre-registration through the General Assembly website >>>

Though being a UX designer means research, sketching, iterating, and refining, much of the work is not seen in the final product or design. As a result, in addition to understanding the process, it’s important to be able to explain it.

In this workshop, you’ll get the tools you need to help you get started and leave with a portfolio that really tells a story and sells your work. This class is for beginners and is perfect for anyone trying to break into the UX field or looking for a job as a UX designer.

Takeaways
- Understand best practices for portfolio preparation.
- Learn how to compile a portfolio that will attract hiring managers.

This event sounds very beneficial, but I am weary due to my bad experiences with GA events. Has anyone attended these paid GA events? I been to a few free GA events which are essentially bait events and "workshops" to acquire new students for their programs. In fact, most times the description doesn't match the presentation.

Thanks, Narek! :) Phillip and Ana, we often have several free events as well as ticketed classes. If you haven't been to a recent event in DTLA, I hope to see you soon and discuss how we can improve/enhance your experience with us! :)

Thanks for all those who reached out. I have enjoyed several GA events in the past and will continue to attend GA events in the future. GA has been a great resource to the UX community, thanks for hosting so many events. I hope to see everyone soon.

Hi Philip, Why don't you give me a ring and we can chat about what would be most helpful to you at this time. After that, we will know if this is a good fit. Best, Crystal[masked] or crystal.ehrlich at gmail dot com.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
