UX Job Postings

We recently revised the job posting policy. Please check out the ways you can post UX job opportunities.

Have a User Experience job opening in the Los Angeles area? You've come to the right place. Below you'll find some information about our group of UX professionals and about how to share career opportunities with our members.

How to post UX career opportunities

The job posting will shared with all of our members. Please note that you must follow the guidelines when posting a job opportunity. If the guidelines are are not met, you will be banned from the group. There will be no warning.

Another approach is to post the job in our Message Boards area.

REQUIREMENTS TO POST:
Required Reading --> What technical recruiters can learn from online dating
What happens if you don't follow the guidelines? You will be banned from the group.

Required Reading --> Your Job Ads Are Driving Away Talent

IMPORTANT: Please note that no unpaid/deferred compensation positions or internships of any kind can be posted to the group.

Subject Line
The subject line of your job post should ideally include 5 pieces of information:

  • Job Title
  • Full-time vs contract (and contact length & rate, if applicable)
  • Company name
  • Location
  • Salary

Great Examples for Subject Lines:
1. Junior UX Designer | Full Time | @ SampleCo | Culver City | $150K
2. User Researcher (3-4 month contract, $80/hr) @ SampleCo in El Segundo

Folks getting the job posting information don't want to email back and forth to get the information they need about the opportunity. Please make sure the detailed job description clearly states the responsibilities, the skills, the level (junior, senior, manager, director, etc.) and a description of the company. The better the job description, the more likely you are to get responses. This is a good example of a job description: Job Description Example >>

Also, be clear about what kind of UX role you are looking for. A UX designer is different from a user researcher, etc. Sometimes the job postings sent to our members are not for UX related positions but are for front-end developers.
