Announcing the Sydney Game Club! What’s that you say?
Well every month we have a game to play and then we meet up in person to talk about it!
This month’s pick is presented by Serenade! Here’s what they say:
When deciding on this pick we wanted to make sure we chose something quintessentially Serenade. It was important that the game was a bit experimental and made by people pushing against the grain. We also thought the game should be something made locally so we could highlight the Sydney community. What we ultimately decided upon was Robot House’s Rumu (2017). Rumu was developed and released in Sydney at a time where very few experimental games like it were. We feel it’s exemplary of Sydney’s ingenuity and our thirst to make weird little games and feel it should be recognised for its historical significance.
Many of the creative team on Rumu are now working on the upcoming Mystiques which we at Serenade are all looking forward too!
Rumu is about 3 hours long and is $14.50. If money is tight just hit me up with a message.
