Establishing Data Infrastructure And Hadoop Within A Large Existing Ecosystem

Adopting a Big Data mindset and establishing a capable data infrastructure to support it are a challenge. This session will introduce current technologies -- from Hadoop to Hive to Luigi to Kafka, and more -- along with a few examples of data and machine learning projects that leverage them. We’ll leave the realm of theory and take a look at operational strategies, discussing cluster configurations and automated deployment using Chef.
