What's so special about it? We will be talking about food innovation, how it's blending with technology and its amazing potential for positive social and environmental impact. Secondly, the meetup will take place in Fact0ry - Google X's cofounder's futuristic product innovation space. Finally, we will have delicious healthy food provided by Zesty, and there will be a proper wine service so make sure you consider the evening "well spent'. What did we forget? Right! Some of Valley's most impressive food innovators will join us to share their stories and insights.

  1. Arturo Elizondo (https://twitter.com/arturoeliz), the CEO of Clara Foods (http://www.clarafoods.com/) will share what it takes to build a sustainable ingredients biotech company that is making the world's first animal-free egg white. Clara leverages advances in fermentation technology to bring an egg white to the table that is far more sustainable, humane, and completely free of salmonella. Prior to joining Clara Foods, Arturo worked under Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the investment bank Credit Suisse.

  2. Tim West (https://twitter.com/timmywest), a chef turned social entrepreneur and food venture advisor. He's a cofounder of the Food Hackathon, a Global Ambassador to the Future Food Institute and a Fellow4Good at the Institute For the Future. Tim will talk about hacking food systems.

  3. Brian Frank (https://twitter.com/bfrank) is an angel investor in the food science & tech space. He also serves as a product advisor and mentor for food-related startups at leading accelerators such as indie.bio, Lemnos Labs, Food-X, Reimagine Food and 500Startups. Prior to moving into Food Sci & Tech, Brian was a serial entrepreneur and senior product executive for successful startups including Posterous (acq. by Twitter) and Timeful (acq. by Google) as well as at large corporations such as Twitter, Adobe & Palm. He will dwell into how science and technology are ushering in the modern Age of Food.
