Indy Elixir First (Virtual) Meetup!

By popular request, we'll be holding our first meetup remotely: tune in Tuesday, August 2 at 7pm from wherever you like, wearing whatever you find most comfortable, thanks to the magic of Google Hangouts on Air (more on that below).

Since almost half of the survey respondents haven't used Elixir yet, Steve Grossi will start things off with an introduction to Elixir: an overview of the language, why it's awesome, and how you can start building things with it.

Then, Joel Meador will give a talk on using Plug for high-availability, high-speed authentication.

Google Hangouts on Air allows up to 10 people to present and an unlimited number of viewers to watch live and submit questions, and automatically records the discussion for anyone to watch later on. (A Google Plus account is required in order to submit questions.)
