ICT for International Development Learning MeetUp

Usha,Hello, there! We met about a year ago at the New Organizing Institute training for nonprofits back in March -- your presentation there was great, and I'm glad that we're crossing paths again! I just saw the MeetUp you host on ICT for development, and wanted to see if there might be a fit with the project that I'm currently working on. I'm not sure if you have "speakers," per se, at your meetings, but I wanted to toss this out there...
I'm working with a site called PledgeBank.com, which is a conditional pledging tool that facilitates collective action. The site follows a simple formula: "I will do X action, but only if N other people will do the same thing." It's designed to help both individuals and organizations get things done in their communities that they can't (or don't want to) do alone. There are all kinds of cool features to the site, like a Facebook application, email-a-friend capabilities, customized flyers, and a WordPress widget. But the core of the site is the ability to rally a group to easily do good things in the world.
I was thinking that your group might be interested in this kind of tool, partly because it's run by a nonprofit (rather than a commercial entity) and partially because it's totally free. Do you think there would be any interest? I'm happy to talk with folks if you think it would be helpful -- just let me know and I can drop by your next meeting!
Thanks a million -- I look forward to connecting!-Heather
