The Island Divas are a social group for women ~25-50 who want to build new friendships in Nanaimo and the surrounding area.

Whether you're new to town or have lived here your whole life, single or married, it's always fun to meet new people, explore new places and try new things.  Island Divas is a group that offers this and more.

The Island Divas are warm & welcoming with no pretense or cattiness. If you possess a "Glass Half Full" attitude, are looking to try new things, laugh lots, meet new people and kick up your heels, please join us.

Island Divas enjoy a diverse range of activities including:

- dining out & pub nights

- movie nights & book clubs

- scavenger hunts, wine tasting tours & games nights

- BBQ's, themed parties & co-ed events

- Dancing & fitness activities

- supporting local charities

All members are invited to create events based upon their own interests.

Guidelines for members to know:

1. Have fun, make friends & have a positive attitute!

2. Please be considerate of your RSVP and only RSVP "Yes" if you are confirmed you're attending.

If you don't arrive after RSVP'ing, you will receive a warning regarding your membership status. This is disrespectful not only to the hostess but to fellow guests. Three no-shows will result in membership cancellation.

3. We encourage you to be involved in creating meet-ups and hosting if/when possible.

4. Many of our meet-ups are free, some have fees and some are pot-luck events. Read postings for more information and suggestions for cost effective and exciting opportunities.

This group is mainly a social "girly" group for women 19+, however on occasion events are co-ed, business networking, cross-promoted with other groups, plus a sprinkling of kid/family/friend friendly meet-ups will be posted.
