Happy New Year from IG Rescue:

Last year IGRF-NW helped more than 60 Italian Greyhounds move from uncertain situations to forever homes.  This remarkable work was made possible by our “village” of volunteers who foster, do home visits, transport, fundraise, plan events, and sew coats and jackets.  None of this would be possible without the help of our volunteers.

So far in January, 7 little iggy guys and gals entered rescue.  Right now, about 5 more dogs waiting for our help.  Our awesome volunteers always come through, but sometimes life gets in the way and they can’t help.  We are completely out of foster homes and will have to turn these little IGs away.

We’re writing to ask if you might consider a foster gig.  We know it’s hard to foster, and that perhaps the most difficult part is that you risk falling in love with your foster dog.  But the really cool part is that you help a dog move from an uncaring situation or uncertain future, to a new life.  Playing a role in that transformation makes the temporary sadness you may feel when your foster moves to his or her forever home incredibly worthwhile.

We hope you will consider joining in and offering your home and your heart to help a little IG in need.

Please remember:  We can only save as many IGs as we have foster spots available.
