jQuery in 2013

Happy New Year, jQuery devs!

We're only 25 days into 2013, and so much has already happened. We've seen a new release of jQuery[1], a new release of QUnit[2], a new release of jQuery UI [3], a new beta release of jQuery Mobile [4], the launch of the new jQuery Plugin site[5], and a number of other improvements for the jQuery community[6]. Clearly, this is going to be a Big Year for jQuery.

We're aiming to continue the excitement of 2013 with an equally-awesome meetup. On Wednesday, January 30, we'll be meeting at the Bocoup Loft. Here's the line up:

Tim Branyen, front-end developer at Matchbox, "Urgh Package Managers, What Are They Good For? Absolutely, something!"
Mike Pennisi, front-end developer at Bocoup, "The Wonders of the jQuery Migrate Plugin"

We'll start things up at 7:00 PM. Hope to see you there!
(We're also looking for sponsors for pizza, soda, and beer. You can reply to this email if you're interested in reaching 1200 jQuery devs!)

Hi, would someone share the URL of Mike Pennisi' github page and slideshow? I tried to write it down, but I think i missed something.

This was my first jQuery meetup. It was definitely an eye opener. I plan to one day be at your level. This is where it's at. Everyone was very friendly and helpful in answering my questions. I plan on attending more of these meet ups. Thank you. Greg. www.Goldfarbdev.com
