Web mapping with geomap, a jQuery plugin

Bocoup Loft (map)

Selected By: Ben Alman

In this talk, Ryan Westphal will show you how one line of code, $("#map").geomap();, adds a fully interactive map of the world to your website. He will then dive in to the geomap widget's options and methods that you can use to accomplish a wide variety of web mapping tasks in an open-source/open-data way. This talk is geared toward both coders who know a little mapping and GIS users who know a little coding.

Pizza & beer (thanks to Media Temple) should arrive at 6:30pm, and the talk will start promptly at 7pm!

Really wish I could make this event, especially with Ryan speaking, but unfortunately I'm headed to Philly for a conference that day. I'll spread the word through Refresh Boston though!

Is there a link to this plugin so we can experiment beforehand? I searched on $("#map").geomap() but there are several libraries out there that use a similar naming schema. Thanks :)
