Practice comparing things in English - Make friends and learn English

Task: Practice comparing things. For example, compare your home city to Adelaide. Compare speaking in English with speaking in your first language. Compare one kind of food with another kind of food. Compare one job with another job. Compare one person with another person … and so on. (Here are two websites for comparing the cost of living between any two cities in the world: 1. Where? Our meetup is now at The Box Factory which can give us a permanent place on Friday evenings. The address is 59 Regent St S, Adelaide. It is a nice, quiet place owned by the City Council, and about 1.5 km from Rundle Mall. Directions: Walk down Rundle Mall to Frome Street. Turn right and walk to the end of Frome Street. Then it becomes Regent Street. A small part of Regent Street is a bike path. At the end of the bike path on your right is the Box Factory. (It took me 14 minutes to walk). Go in through the glass door of the Box Factory. The room we are in is at the end of the hallway on the left.

It's a chance for everyone who had been before to catch up and also a chance to make newcomers feel welcome.
