Konnichiwa minna-san!

(こんにちはみんなさん!)

My name is Kaze Iwa (AKA Hayashi-San), and I've stepped up to be organizer of Japanese Language Meetup Group to help relieve the load of our beloved organizer Yoihojo who is super busy (isogashii 忙しい) !

Quick introduction: I was founder and organizer of Mandarin Mondays Chinese Language Meetup Group and also have access to many venues, which can be helpful experience for our group. I took a year or two of Japanese in college, and can say that I am novice of novices, with lots to learn - I'm expecting to go to Japan for the first time later this year expanding an online business based in mobile & technology, and excited!

Apologies: My apologies ( gomen nasai ごめんなさい) for the lack of group activity this winter and early spring, but let's kickoff spring the right way with the 10th Annual Japan Day in Central Park!

*Please RSVP, and spread the word the the right positive people who have interest in Japanese language and/or culture, and we can keep you posted on any updates within the next five days leading up our meetup!

Meeting place: We will be gathering at the Tea (Ocha) Tent from 9:30AM - 10:00AM which is near Okonomiyaki & Ramen Tents, as well as near the volunteers & restrooms near the south side of the festival! If you can only come later, we will be there all day, please text me 347-484-7286 directly to meetup!

Note: Brown Rice Family is #1 world roots band and will be performing at 3PM - I know one of the band members Richardson-san whose multicultural and multidimensional musical genius has been covered in mainstream US and Chinese/Japanese media, and who speaks good Japanese and has been known to surprise Japanese tourists as a street musician with nostalgic tunes! =) I will try to create an opportunity for us to meet him at one point during Meetup or later!

Lastly below are rules for the festival unfortunately that is best for us to follow so we represent well!
