Tampa Natsumatsuri (Japanese Summer Festival)

THIS IS A FREE EVENT and Open to the Public!

Including Japanese

* Games

* Performances

* Vendors

This year's location will be the same as last year--huge, covered, with electricity, and Real Restrooms!

~~~~~
Tampa Natsumatsuri is Tampa's only authentically Japanese Summer Festival. It's just like what you'd find in rural Japan, only here in Tampa. This festival is community-based and entirely non-profit.
It was started eight years ago when two friends who had both lived in Japan decided they should have a summer festival to remind themselves of what they loved in Japan. That first year, over 100 people turned out and Tampa Natsumatsuri was born.
Local organizations are invited to participate.  There is no vendor fee.   All Japan-related exhibits, performances, games, etc. are welcome.  Many groups adopt an activity that they conduct year after year at the event.  For details on how you can participate, please contact us at [masked].
    I hoping there would be more food options. Oki Doki was really good.
      Food vendors have to be Licensed and health inspected. There just aren't that many Japanese food trucks around.
      Next year you can volunteer to contact food vendors and get them to sign up.
    Tampa Natsumatsuri is tomorrow. Entrance is free, but, of course, tickets for games, raffle tickets, the auction, food, and vendor items will require money. So don't forget to bring CASH! We have some nice items including vintage kimono and a beautiful doll for auction. Not to mention a lot of raffle items.
    Game tickets are $0.25 each, each game takes one. Raffle is $1 each. Other prices set by vendors.
    A note from the Natsumatsuri coordinator!
    Here's the latest update on Tampa Natsumatsuri. We're trying to get more games this year. I have lots of ideas and can supply materials, but I need people to commit to running them before I buy the stuff. If you can help, please sign up now. It's really only about 3 months away.
