I'm aspiring artist, old school geek, cyclist, and all around nice guy. I treasure being busy as much as I treasure my leisure time I'm a big fan of world cultures, especially Japanese culture.
I am an American native born of Mexican parents. I have a few Japanese friends.
Fukuoka. The city reminded me of Seattle, WA and Monterrey Mexico. The people there are so laid back and friendly. I'm going back this year and wouldn't mind living there. I eventually want to visit Tokyo and Kyoto.
The majority of my favorite cartoons growing up have always been Japanese or outsourced to Japanese animation studios. I didn't really pick up on that they were all Japanese until I started watching the shows in Mexico during my visits. Growing up I've always been curious to many cultures, but my affinity for art always pulled me towards Japan time and again. I've always wanted to learn French and Japanese, but always found the latter a bit daunting. It wasn't until I visited Japan that I finally made a real commitment to learning the language. It's been fun so far and I want to practice what I've learned so far.
Hajimemashite Adrian! We have much in common from your bio! I am also an american native born from Mexican parents and I too am learning Japanese. I also watched much anime as a child (more like a toddler) and never realized it until a couple of years back, yet it always interested me a lot. I would love someone else to help me learn and practice with and I want to go and visit as much of Japan as possible someday especially Fukuoka, Akihabara, Kyoto, and Tokyo. Douzo Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu!
