  • Online (webinar)

Master RAW Processing in Lightroom 5

When: Saturday, August 3rd 9am Mountain Time (GMT -7)

Where: Online (web-based) class.

You will receive instructions via a separate email prior to the meeting time for how to join the online conference. You'll see my computer screen in real-time and you don't need to be running Lightroom or other software to participate.

Whether you're a novice just getting started or a long-time digital photographer making the move to Adobe's Photoshop Lightroom 5, there are numerous tips and tricks to make your journey into RAW editing more enjoyable. In this class, I'll teach you the mechanisms behind Lightroom's tools to make them easier to understand and use so your images will look great.

Lightroom 5 has some really great new features, and I'll be covering those in detail.

In this live online session, I'll cover the fundamentals of setting up the Lightroom 5 Develop Module for optimal RAW processing regardless of your camera. I'll also cover some workflow tips and tricks for photographers moving to Lightroom from other RAW editing software. We'll then move to the Develop Module, where I'll show you how to process your images for maximum impact and a streamlined workflow.

Each participant in this class will be able to join the live audio conference and ask me questions directly in real-time. You'll also get a full PDF package of all the class notes..

To attend this course, you'll need a computer with a broad-band Internet connection and speakers. To participate in the live conversation, you need either a microphone on your computer or a telephone line to call the dial-in number (US toll rates may apply).

May I ask a question unrelated to LR: which tripod light for a long hike but trusty for big camera in windy day would you recommend for landscape photography?

And I just did it again, anyway I use a manfrotto 190CXPRO4 (4 leg sections) with a Manfrotto 468MGFC2 Ball Head when backpacking. The tripod also comes with 3 leg sections (190CXPRO3) but the collapsed length is longer. It is strong enough to support my Nikon D4 and a[masked] mm lens and I think it would even support my 500 mm. The tripod is also good for close-up or macro photography. I purchased mine from B&H Photo (

Thanks for a great workshop - lots of good advice and information and engagingly presented. Would be great to have something similar on some of the Nik tools, particularly Color Efex and Silver Efex sometime.

Here is a question. My computer guru moved my images from my c to my d drive. Lightroom 4 saw them in c and now doesn't see them. Any ideas how to get them correctly indexed again?

Please, send them to me, there is only one day left.

I think your only alternative is to re-import your images into lightroom. Any changes in location or naming etc need be done via Lightroom or the changes will not be reflected in the Lightroom catalogue.

    Hi Jason,
Love to join but start time is 1.00 am in Australia. Any chance of a repeat at a more 'friendly' time - perhaps later in the afternoon your time.
