Dates: June 9-12, 2011

Location: Days Inn Hotel, Wall, South Dakota

Tuition: $899.99 per photographer

Nearest Airport: Rapid City, SD (RAP)

What you'll see: Sunrises, Sunsets, and landscapes that look like you're on another planet. If we're lucky, we'll get some rainstorms making the scenery even more resplendent. You'll also likely to see wildlife, including bison, bighorn sheep, prairie dogs, and pronghorn (antelope). Our focus will be primarily landscape photography on this trip. There will be easy to moderate hiking, but we will avoid strenuous hikes. Plan on bringing a water bottle for day hikes! During the mid-day times, we'll retreat to our hotel and work on image critique, workflow, and post-processing techniques.

What's included: Your tuition covers field photographic instruction, National Park fees, and post-processing support with image critique sessions. I have reserved a block of hotel rooms for the group at a discounted rate; participants will be responsible for food, lodging, and transportation to the field sites.

Tentative Itinerary:

Thursday, June 9th: Meet in hotel lobby at 2pm for orientation, followed by evening shoot in Badlands NP (location TBD).

Friday, June 10th: Sunrise at the Pinnacles Overlook. Sunset shooting at the Doors & Windows Trails.

Saturday, June 11th: Sunrise shooting at Yellow Mounds area. Sunset shooting at Panorama Point.

Sunday, June 12th: Sunrise shooting if schedule permits (TBD), depart for Rapid City, SD.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Tuition is non-refundable after April 25th, 2011. If I can fill your slot from the waiting list, then you will be refunded your tuition less a 10% processing fee.
