Learn to photograph stars and the Milky Way!
Join me in Limon, CO as we photograph sunset followed by some night photography around the giant wind farm turbines. The wind farm is a great subject for sunset and twilight shooting, too!
Due to the logistics of this location, the group size is limited to 10 photographers.
I will be teaching techniques for night photography, including:
• Setting up your camera for night photography
• Locating and photographing the Milky Way
• Photographing stars
• Creating star trails
• Light painting techniques
What to Bring
• Your camera
• Fast wide-angle prime lens (optional) for shooting the Milky Way Galaxy. You can use any lens, but you'll get better results with something f/2.8 or faster
• Sturdy tripod
• Remote release with locking switch
• Intervalometer (optional) for capturing star trails (Some cameras have this built-in, others require an external intervalometer trigger).
• Small flashlight or headlamp, preferably with red filter
Participants will receive field instruction, image processing instructions, along with course notes and information.
