Image sharpening is one area of digital photography that can really make or break your photographs. If your image isn't properly sharpened, it will look soft. On the other hand, an over-sharpened image will be full of nasty artifacts and halos.
Join Jason Odell online to learn the fundamentals of sharpening and noise reduction in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Topics include capture sharpening, local sharpening, noise reduction, and output (print/web) sharpening. Please refer to the system requirements below before joining this session.
In this session, we'll take an in-depth look at Lightroom's Detail Panel
Sharpening Sliders:
• Amount
• Radius
• Detail
• Masking
Noise Reduction Tools
• Luminosity & Color Noise Removal
We will then explore local sharpening and noise reduction techniques in Lightroom using the Adjustment Brush.
We'll also learn how to create sharpening presets for different image styles, including landscapes, portraits, and high-ISO shots.
Output Sharpening
I will teach you how to enable output sharpening tools when saving or printing images.
