High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography is a powerful creative technique. We can use HDR to create images with maximum tonal range, and also to create fantastical painterly effects. To create powerful HDR, you need to be able to first capture a quality exposure sequence and secondly use tone-mapping software to create the final product.
In this class, I will teach you the how and why of HDR, including:
• How to identify photographic situations that require HDR
• Camera settings and best practices for capturing bracketed image sequences
• Survey of software options for HDR tone-mapping, including Lightroom, Photomatix, HDR Efex Pro, and Aurora HDR
• How to merge to HDR in Lightroom for completely natural images
• Options for creating stylized images with tone-mapping software
All participants will receive a printable PDF copy of the presentation notes
You will be able to ask questions during the presentation
You must RSVP by 11:30am MST (1:30pm Eastern Time) to receive the meeting login link.
